unload debugger and try again

Hi all
I have a question about how to disable debugger in wine (I mean if that really was the issue).

I have wine 20040914 which I compiled on my machine. Now I am trying play settlers IV. With the installation everything goes just fine, however when I am trying to play the game I get the following error message: A debugger has been detected Unload the debugger and try again.

I have revised google and linuxquestions earlier messages but I just could not find the answer how to do that, so I have thought to start a thread to see if somebody knows what to do in this case. Sadly every messages I found about the issue was finishing up with supposing that the problem is wine itself. Though I hope that is not the last word.

So if you know what to do in that case pls let me know to.

thanks

Yes the problem is with Wine. The emulation is not accurate enough to fool the app into thinking it's on Windows.

So there is no way around

Then I shall now find out if the company that made this game has anything to offer or I have just one option left to give up and put this game on the shelf (though I guess I will put on the shelf too the company who made this wine incompatible game).

Thanks anyway

Unless you are a competent system-level programmer then that is your only option, sorry ....
