ultima online AoS running problems using wine

hello....

i used wine to install Ultima Online AoS...it went well..

it loads and patches just fine....the only problem is that when i start up UO, the patch window will come up, and as soon as i click 'ok' this box comes that says, "Ultima Online is Loading"(as it should)......this is all fine and dandy....but it will not go away and it stays right on top of everything....i can log in and move about....but that stupid box will not go away....it is on top and i am having to scroll around it as i am typing this.....lol...the only way to make it go away is to quit wine.....lol...

any ideas that could make that box vanish would be most appreciated....UO rocks!!!...maybe it is something in the config????

danke...

well....figured it out....

in the install directory typing 'wine client.exe'...starts it right up.... i have been trying to get that sucker to work for days....and just tried client.exe on a whim..

lol...

but you will have to patch every now and again....just go into the UO directory and 'wine UO.exe'....this will bring up the patch window which does work.. when it completes patching it will allow you to click 'ok'....let the game fire up so to make sure the patch took when this is confirmed (login or something)....kill that sucker and in the same directory fire off 'wine client.exe'

thanks....and i hope that this helps somebody down the road.....

ROCK!!!

as as always....
