Tribes2(update trick did not work)

Hi every1!
Im a new user to gentoo. I recently installed Tribes2 (without portage bcouse the loki-bug), and wanted to update it the way it is told in http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...5&pagenumber=2
but i have a strange problem...
At nearly 40% while patching the prog exists with this:

tux tribes2-25034-cdrom-x86 # sh update.sh

That is not good.

Well thats the sad situation. I hope that someone has any idea!!

Haha solved my own problem!
It's realy interesting... It seems that my cdrom's skins.vl2 file wasnt OK so I copied the skins.vl2 file from my WINDOW$ version CD and it worked.
Doh.
I think sum1 should put up the skins.vl2 file on the net coz i saw others having the same problem.

Oh thats my style:
installed patch and that made my "sound system" dissappear in the game (it was something like Loki sound system before) So I have no sound at al.
Any idea ?

(hope no1 thinx im spamming here bcouse im the only1 who writes)

Figured out that too !
just had to change the /home/user/.loki//tribes2/base/prefs/ClientPrefs.cs

from
$pref::Audio::activeDriver = "default";
to
$pref::Audio::activeDriver = "OpenAL";

-and-

from
$pref::Audio::drivers = "Miles";
to
$pref::Audio::drivers = "OpenAL";

yay!

how nice ! I just have to figure out what was my username and I can play online !
