Suse and Wine

I was wondering if Wine is easier in Suse 9.0. I know the newest versions of wine that when you untar it, it makes 3 directories. From there I was unable to finish configuring. Is this going to be the same in Suse and if so how do I fix??

You might try installing from the *.rpm files indicated on the winehq website. Then if needed copy the wine-config file from the site, and check it with the winecheck utility.

The splendid winetools from http://franksworld.net/winetools.html can then be used to tweak the configuration.

If you're using SuSE try getting your hands on SuSE's Wine Rack. It does things for you pretty much on its own.
