Stunt Rally and xbox 360 controller

Hey all,

I just installed Stunt Rally on my Kubuntu 11.10 system and it is working fine. What I would like to get working with it is to use my XBOX360 controller with it. The system recognizes the controller and buttons. But what isn't working are the two 'sticks' for throttle and steering. Setting them does not seen very straight forward.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to go about setting the analog sticks up for controls?
