Star Wars KOTOR

Hi everyone!

I'm a Linux newbie. I've been looking to switch over for some time now, but due to a little mishap I had, I no longer have Windows. (That's a very long, frustrating story... )
So now that I have no choice but to use Linux, I'm searching for a distro to install in one of my hard drives. Currently, I'm using Knoppix off the CD. (Thankfully, I downloaded it before I accidently wiped Windows.)
Is there a certain distro that has compatibility with more games than other distros? I'm a big gamer, and I have KOTOR. I would like to be able to play this on Linux.
Has anyone gotten KOTOR to work on their system? I'd really like to know how! Transgaming's website says it's not compatible with Wine/WineX. I can't seem to find a lot of info pertaining to Linux and game compatibility. Other than Transgaming, anyway. Does anyone know of some good sites to check out?
A million thanks in advance! I've been searching the forums, and everyone's so friendly and helpful. Not like Windows forums. They're a huge mess!

Basically, if you want to play the latest games like that you need Windows. There are other emulators for Linux. One is called Codeweavers. It is at www.codeweavers.com . It is not a free product, though.

the codeweavers wine (i think its called crossover) is meant mainly for MS "Office" apps.
