snes9x lib and ELF header issues

I have snes9x on a 2.7.7 kernel. I have the appropirate liblrary files. But every time try to run the program I get:

/usr/snes/snes9x: error in loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5 : invalid ELF header

Any thoughts? Thanks

Have you tried googling for the libraries you are missing and downloading/installing them?

I have all apropriate libraries and permissions. Do I need to specifiy dependicies, or create file links some where?
