sims-like game in linux?

i know "the sims" is now available for linux in the box form...

i was wondering if there were any gpl games akin to the sims.

and maybe if there isnt, it might be a good idea...?
its the only "simulation" tpye game i play.

btw- pengus did a good job of cloning lemmings, maybe the same can be done for the sims?
