Question Shogo MAD runs kinda too fast

Hi!

Here's the gig: I bought Shogo for Linux from a computer show awhile back, as I loved the game on Windoze and thought it'd be neat to have yet another application I can use in Linux rather than Win. And it works, mostly. The problem starts when I run it in OpenGL rather than in the software rendering. Graphics are accelerated, looks beautiful.

But then you play and it becomes apparent what's wrong: Lots of 'events' are accelerated. The guy walking down the hall outside your quarters in the beginning zips past at about 80MPH (rough estimate). Most of the speech in the game gets clipped about halfway through. The actual combat seems OK maybe slightly faster than normal. I have to run the game in software mode to put things back to normal, but it's ugly as sin even in 1024x768. Anybody know why this is happening and/or how to get it run normal in hardware acceleration?

I'm running KDE 3.3 on a Slackware10.1 install w/2.6.10 kernel
1GB RAM
13GB HD
eVGA GeForce6600 PCI-E w/256MB VRAM
Ensoniq something or another for sound

Thanks for your time!

P.S. It does make the game more challenging in some spots because the little humans now shoot much faster, and you can actually get bothered by 'em! ^_^

I also have this game for Linux, and pretty much have the same problem as you. This is simply because your system's too fast. I think there is a way to get the game synced through a series of console commands, but to be honest, I don't remeber them.
