Setting up Nethack for users

I'm trying to give users the permissions needed to play Nethack. I think I got them all (/usr/share/games/nethack/nethack and /var/games/nethack/record), but I still have one problem.

When I run nethack as a user, I get an IO error that states that it cannot find x11hles or nhtiles.bmp. When I click okay, the Konsole says "Floating point exception".

The game works fine when I'm in root. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
