Lightbulb Searching Developers and fans for a Game-OS project: Gamix

*WARNING. i got AD(H)D, which makes me wanna write faster then I can with my hands, when I'm full with IDEAS!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been thinking for a long time now.
And just whole of a sudden, lighting strikes my mind.

Short Story blinged my mind:
Big and bad windows Games can now-a-days also be run on many Linux-distributions that we know (Ubuntu, Suse, Fedora) and even stabelising on Big-boned Unix (like Sun Solaris).
Not only do these games run faster and better (Internet, Graphics, Loading), most games are getting build on/in studios that are OpenSource and or Linux-relative!

***FAST THOUGHTS***
i think we should keep Linux clean from any windows-like problems. Many spyware, virusses and trojans and all which runs on win32 and gets downloaded and/or activated on windows-apps/-games, makes your WinRunner (CrossOver, Cedega, Wine, PlayOnLinux, etc) also weaker.

Ofcourse LINUX has it's own virusses and sh*t, but keep it seperate, makes it more controlable!

Why don't we, People of the OpenSource Community, do what Lord Linus showed us? We should make a small & light, but fast & secure, little Minix/Linux OS purely for Gaming, thinking about the name Gamix!

GAMIX OS, an opensource operating system, available for any platform/processor. So we can play any game of any system (Linux, Unix, Windows, Mac, PSP, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc) on one Operatin System.
Thinking even further... Faster help can be given be easely debug the entire game if running with terminal and or debug-window.

------------------------------------------------------------------

This is just an idea for now.

Please give me your opinion and stay alert on the thread, because i'm planning to change my entire website into "GAMIX, the OpenSource Gamers-Project" and placing updates here!
