Running Update Patch for UT2004
 

Good Day All

I have the old 3186 version of UT2004 on 6 cd's. What I want to do now is just run the update patch to patch it to the newer version, I think its 33xx that I downloaded. Can you please tell me how to run the patch?

You can download it from www.unrealtournament.com/ut2004/downloads.php

save it to your /tmp

extract the package in your /tmp

then cp -v -R /tmp/<ut2004-patch>/ /<ut2004-patches>/<installation path>

you can also download the Windows Bonus pack.

save it to your /tmp directory

unzip the selfextra exe file and copy that also into your UT2004 installation directory.

So basicaly I can just copy the extracted files and copy them into the required directory? ie /home/archeo/ut2004 - my install path for UT

that is correct! easier than this is not possible. ;)
