running Half Life in 16 bit mode only


Hello ,I need to know how to get Half Life to run in 16 bit mode and not edit my XF86Config file so all my stuff is in 16 but mode .

You have to only add a SubSection "Display" under the Section "Screens" containing the modes you would want to use in 16-bpp, use the current 24-bpp subsection as a guide. As long as you don't say that the default Depth is 16-bpp, you desktop will still run at 24-bpp.
