I downloaded WineX and i am using it to run quake on my box and on my server box. Both machines have Linspire 4.5. I need help with running a server. What is the normal procedure for running a server? since i have WineX i dont need OSP or PB right? I still want the flexability but i also want something simple. Does anyone have a normal .cfg they could send me or show me a link to one on the web?
Thanks,
Bremen

I have played with the WineX Point2play Version of Quake 3 and I can't get it to run a server. Now i have been in several servers where i have seen the server was run by a linux machine. I am currently playing with the demo you can download from ID but i can't get it to work either. Does anyone know where i can get a full version of Quake 3 for linux without having to buy it. I will buy it, but i would like to try it out to see if i can get it to work first.
