i installed RTCW and it runs to slow ? im fedora core 1. what do i have to do to speed it the game ? , cause on mandrake the game runs really smooth. i have ATI radeon 9000 pro 128 agp. i dont have ATI's drivers installed, because i dont know what might happen to my OS. i installed the driver before on mandrake and linux would even start up. so help please
Without the official drivers, most likely you won't get any hardware acceleration. Some distributions, as Libranet provides Nvidia (not sure about ATI) right out of the box, maybe that was your case with Mandrake and ATI (???)
Well, long story short, without the drivers, not even TuxRacer is going to run smoothly
