Refresh rate in Alpha Centauri !!

Hi people,

Just started playing Sim Mier's (the god) Alpha centauri. It's really good - faster than the winblows version 4 sure !
But i'm having one problem:-

When i load alpha the refresh rate goes to 60hz (normally on 85!) . When i exit the game the desktop has also gone to 60hz - restarting get it back to 85.

Seeing as Alpha is a 'long-term' game it is really important that i have a good refresh rate.

I've editied the alpha_centauri.ini file and added the line

VideoMode 1024
and i've tried to put the following in to no avail

Refesh=85

I don't want to play it in a Window (want full screen)

Has anyone any ideas of how to change the refresh rate?

I have a Nvidia Geforce 3 ti 200 Video card and am using the latest drivers from nvidia.com
