Question about an old Mac game

Any chance anyone has ever been able to run or find a copy of Scarab of Ra that will run on Linux?

If you have a Mac ROM you could try using an emulator. You can legally download Mac OS 7.5.3 for free to use with the emulator if you had the ROM through legal means.

As far as getting the game itself, you can still download it from the developer.

Bzzzt! No, sorry ...

"Old Mac Games" were probably written either for the PowerPC chip or for the 680x0.

BZZZZTTT!!!! INCORRECT!!!

Try looking first. Any emulator that can successfully run will run this game. You'd just need the OS and the ROM for the emulator.

Requires: Any Macintosh, any system software.

Recommended: System 6.0 or later, including Mac OS 8.

HOWEVER...this still depends upon you having legal access to a mac ROM, which is unlikely. But at least it's a slim possibility.

It says Windows version, but it's an HQX file, Mac binary that is. If it truly runs on Windows that's good. I guess I'll try to find a MAC emulator. I've already tried to run that under Windows and it does not work.
