quakeforge - cant load gfx.wad

quakeforge, looks like a great project, but one thing it SERIOUSLY lacks
is documentation / help. it does not even tell you the name of the executable, i had to find it out for myslf by reading the make file anyway...

ive downloaded, and compiled the latest quakeforge sorce package.
but as i expected, i cannot execute the program because it cannot find gfx.wad

i assume this is the texture file i need to copy from my official quake cd ?
if so, where to i copy it to ?
are there any other files i need to copy from the cd, where do they go ???

i cant find any documentation (written in english !)
i dont speak russian unfortunatly.

any help, or links would be appreciated, thankyou.

(after using linux for 6 months or so, im only just discovering just about ALL my games have linux ports and in some cases (quake 2) the port is better than the origonal )
