Quakeforge

I got this installed and it laucnches, but the keyboard or mouse doesn't work. I tried moving around different config files, but the only thing I could end up doing was taking a screenshot with F12. Where in the hell is the main config file for it? The documentation on their website is horrible. Does anyone have a sample config I could have so i can play? Also, the sound is choppy.
