Cool Quake 4 Demo on FC4 Will Not Start - GLX Error

I have the Linux demo, but it will not start with me running Fedora Core 4 and Nvidia driver 1.0-8178. It crashes with error:
ERROR: SDL_SetVideoMode failed: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

Enemy Territory and Unreal Tournament both run fine on the same system, same user, etc.

I've tried installing and running as a normal user and as root, but it doesn't change a thing.

Any ideas?
