I am in dire need of help! i rather stupidly deleted the linux partition using Partition magic 8 in order to reclaim the huge amount of hard drive space linux was using back to windows. this all went fine until i restarted my computer and nearly had a heart attack when a GNU Grub screen appeared, with a command line interface with the instruction 'press tab for more commands'. I am well and truly stuck, don't know what to do and desperately need to load windows. I've tried a repair install of XP by booting from the CD, but this has no effect. please help!

1)boot off xp cd
2)hit r for repair key (not sure if it's r but whatever it tells you)
3)run fixmbr and fixboot
4) tada, now reinstall linux

cheers, so if i run fixmbr and fixboot, then will the GNU Grub bootloder be overwritten?
