Problem running Kohan (Loki)

I have played Kohan from the same installation earlier today, and now all of a sudden it is no longer working...

During the startup of the Kohan, I get to the point where it says "Loading Interface" and then it freezes. The console output is as follows:

The odd thing is, that if I run Kohan as root now, I have no problems at all.

UPDATE:

I copied the contents of ~/.loki/kohan/Campaign to /root/.loki/kohan/Campaign so I could resume where I left off. Now I get the same problem running kohan as root.

So I remove the the contents of /root/.loki/kohan/campaign (as it was empty originally) and now it works as root again.

So now that I've pin-pointed the source of the problem, can anyone offer any advice, other than to clean out ~/.loki/campaign (which I am now going to try in the meantime)?
