Question PlayOnLinux Game Launches in full screen with GNOME panel at end of screen

Hi.

I installed a game in POL for my niece in Linux Mint 11 (the game ran perfectly in full screen). I have since downgraded to Ubuntu 10.04. I use manual partitions so all my settings remain in the home directory. I went to launch Sims 3 in POL and it runs in full screen alright but the GNOME panel appears at the end of the screen.

I did go to Wine config and selected 'Emulate a virtual desktop' and then tried to launch the game via
~/.PlayOnLinux but it wont launch that way.

Can someone help me solve this? At least could someone tell me how to launch it in a window?

Thanks.

Apparently you do that from within the game.
Quote:
'On the first screen to pop up in the game, look for a circle with three dots on it. (This is the options menu) Click options, and than you will see a check mark that says "Enable Fullscreen mode" Uncheck this save settings, there you go.'

Lightbulb

I found another way:
Configure Wine
Graphics tab
uncheck 'Allow window manager to control the windows'
