pingus under mandriva 2006, downloaded, what now?!

OK I am a yet another newb with probably a generic install question. I can't get use to installing stuff on linux after windows has rotted my brain for the past few years.

I've downloaded pingus and have extracted the contents of the file "pingus-0.6.0-binary-linux-i386.tar.bz2" to a folder on my desktop. Whaton earth do I do next?
I had a quick look on the console for install files but can't find one? what am i doing wrong? Should I extract it somewhere else? then what?!!

Thanks
Regards
Malc
