Palomino

Hey,

I downloaded two different flight simulators. Palomino and YS Flight Simulator. I understand that I need to compile Palomino and I havn't a clue where to start on that one. Any help?

YS, there is no readme file for linux and no help on the website unless your running windows. Any help on installing that one?

Thanks in advance,
Zeek

Start by reading the file called README.txt. You should be able to install with
Code:
make && make install

nope

Doesn't work.

Code:
make && make install
make is not a recognized command. And the README.txt explains it but is to no avail.

I need to compile the code before I can install. Unless the software needed to compile the program is Native to ubuntu then I do not have the tools. I need to know where I can get them in that case.

As you can see, I'm not an Ubuntu user so take this with a grain of salt. I believe in Ubuntu you install build-essential using Synaptic to get the complete toolchain. You should be able to compile source after that. I recommend that you Read the Friendly Manual. Note, that link is for ver 6.10 of Ubuntu.
