Trying to get Outspark Secret Of Solstice to run on Cedega, keep getting python errors.
The real problem so far has been getting the outspark python app to load to log into either of the current games. I usually use Cedega, but Cedega does not emulate a profile, only the call files, the end result is something like this:
---
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "outspark.py", line 1102, in <module>
File "wx\_core.pyc", line 7819, in __init__
File "wx\_core.pyc", line 7416, in _BootstrapApp

I personally do not believe that outspark, despite listing SOS on sourceforge as be compatible using wine/cedega, will ever actual fix it as it is how the code is called. (funny, really, because this app is made with WXWidgets Python cross-platform compiler) Any suggestions?
Thank you for contacting Outspark.com Customer Support! Are you sure you would like to close your account? Before we make any big changes to your account, we would love to hear from you!
Is there any specific reason you feel that you would need to delete your account permanently?
If you could please let us know what the reason is, maybe we could help others in the future so they can hopefully avoid the same issues that you may have encountered. As soon as we hear back from you, we can help you with any other concerns you have.
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Outspark.com has huge plans for the future! We have multiple games already in the works which will all have NO subscription fee, and NO download cost. All our games are tied directly to your account which you only need to register once. Your log in information will be the same for all our games and our two at the moment are just the beginning for us… You might want to stick around so you and your friends don’t miss out on all that’s in store for the future…
In your response, could you also please supply me with your Account Name, First and Last Name, and your registered Email Address? Once I have your account details, we can make any changes you would like.

I have included the links for this and several other forums. the problem I have, & most people have seems to be the Outspark auth loader, *STILL*. you can not log the game until it auth (client works) until Outspark has auth. How hard would it really be to use WxWidgets (a cross-platform compiler) to either remove the profile requirement or build a linux Client? Well, I've said my peace. Enjoy. I hope Outspark actually fixes this, But I do not have enough faith left in me to beileve they will.
Signing off,
Jason Madking
The problem you are getting is that you are not pre-auth the sos client. BTW, as Outspark is not willing to correct their code, & Cedega & SuSE forums all advise a pythion scripting error that needs the source corrected (& I refuse to run a Wintendo enviroment for Virus reasons) I am quiting Outspark/SOS. I have requested a acount closure and received a generic 'please tell us why you are quiting' email with no real person on the other end' email. I wish you luck, but until Outspark faces the fact that Windows is not the only O/S, your stuck with it.A tale 'wine Outspark --run solstice' should give you the actual error. I guess what has prompted me to cancel is that Outspark & SOS/Festia are run on Linux servers, but apparently Linux Cients are not good enough for Outspark. I have no problems with pop-ups/ads, it is 'free' after all, but no one is willing to fix a simple code call issue. If I did something like this at work, I would be fired, but Outspark obviously does not listen to the 'open beta' clients enough to realize that this is actually a Windows issue as well. When Windows 2009/Lastest Wintendo comes out, they will have issues, but they seem only to care about the present, not the future. As such, as fun as it may be, it will fall to the way side along with Eve Online & Final Fantasy.
