I recently installed Slackware to a old laptop, Compaq Armada E500, which has a Pentium 3 (500 MHz) CPU, 128 MB of RAM, 12 GB of HDD and Ati Rage Mobility -graphic card. I mainly use it for mail, web, news etc. but I also play some games like Nethack and Angband. What other games do you people suggest?
Also, I'm interested in playing Quake and Doom with this laptop. I've played them using FuhQuake and Doomsday engines on my desktop, but they seem to be too much for my laptop. Is there engines that I can run on my laptop?
Doomsday should run on it, maybe not with all the addons but you should at least get basic opengl graphics. You can find Slackware packages of older deng versions. If you try to compile the latest version the Makefile needs to be edited. There's also Doom Legacy that'll play it with opengl. For Quake I've only used glxquake and I don't know how it performs on 128MB RAM.
