Nobunaga's Ambition Type Games for Linux?

Ok, I'm dating myself here, but I used to play a game under NES called Nobunaga's Ambition.

Is there anything like this for Linux? I really enjoy playing games like this...

thanks

I checked the link you posted, & the game appears to be old enough that it might even run under dosemu, let alone wine. Do you still have a DOS copy of it?

Assuming you still have the game, here are a couple of searches you might want to check out:

http://www.google.com/linux?q=%22nes+emulator%22

http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/s...all&release=al

In Debian, I think "Package fceu" would be what you want.

If you don't still have a copy, then try appropriate Google Linux searches.

That was going to be my next question, what type of rom emulators are people using under Linux?

I've tried to install the following, but haven't had any success:

-emudos...Didn't get any errors once I installed from .tgz but didn't see any directories once I installed
-advancedmame..../config ran ok, but when I ran make, it took forever, which didn't look right to me

thanks
