neverwinter nights slugishness

okay i have nwn installed and running...problem is though that it is very sluggish during gameplay (choppy walking, lagging mouse, etc.)...i thought at first that it may just be that i did not have dma enabled so i su'ed over to root and hd parm -d1 /dev/hdc...then started it up again..still the same problem...so i turned down the graphics all the way...still no good...my system well exceeds the requirements so i am questioning...

i run suse 9.0 on a p4 1.5 ghz laptop with kernel 2.4 and kde 3.2

I'm having the same problem, I have the ATI Radeon 7500, and I usually get 10000 fps in glxgears, Can't find any documentation on what is happening.

You are most likely using DRI to provide the grpahics acceleration. NWN has a slight conflict with that, but it is my understanding that it can be fixed. I haven't tried it yet.

Check out the NWN forums on the bioware site...
