Need help Installing Warcraft 3
 

Hi guys,

I'm new to linux and trying to install this game warcraft 3. i installed it through cedega but when its loading right before the main menu it gives a fatal error and shuts down the program and messes up everything. can someone help me out?

I've had this problem myself as well trying to install warcraft3 RoC / TFT. I never quite found out what the problem was, but after reinstalling it worked as it should.

I don't know if you have reinstalled yet, but if not .. you should try.

I've never even tried Cadega, but Warcraft III (many Blizzard games, for that matter) runs reasonably well using the regular WINE. Just be sure to install the libwine-gl package or similar.
I used WINE version 0.9.25 and have finished about 2/3 of the game with no major problems; only the cutscenes aren't played in-game but can be played with mplayer.

However, with the regular WINE you'll need a 'no-CD fix' .exe and a full HD install, since it doesn't handle copy protection well.
