Question Mystery Case Files by Big Fish Games - is there a free software alternative?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
My girlfriend loves the Mystery Case Files series of games by Big Fish Games. (I confess they are fun.) Are there any free software or open source alternatives? Are there even any hidden object type games for Linux? I've been searching for a couple of days now and haven't found anything promising yet.

I'll also welcome any recommendations for moderately easy puzzle games, if you know some.

TIA

I haven't seen anything (though I haven't looked too hard). Have you tried running it through Wine?

I haven't tried it on Wine, though apparently it works with some nuisances. I'm really, really hoping to gather some recommends for free and/or open source games of the same type. Do you know of any?
