If you launch it from command line do you get any more info ? It is hard to diagnose a fault without a error out put.

If you have any more information let us know.

Kind Regards,

That is from a command line. The only other thing it says is "exiting due to error"

My research seems to lean toward a driver problem but the solutions I have found did not work. Mainly installing the ATI drivers.

Im useing Mandrake 10.1 with a Radeon 9200 Graphics cars. I hope that is what you are lookikng for.
thanks

Lightbulb

Follow the steps i gave here:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=243849

to enable direct rendering, that should do. Just make sure you download the appropriate drivers from ATI's web site: http://www.ati.com

Hope it helps

Thanks for your advice, I ended up reinstalling Mandrake10 and the game played fine. The only difference I see between Mandrake10 and Mandrake10.1 and Slackware10 is that Mandrake10 still used xfree instead of xorg. I don't know if that will help anyone but If it works in Mandrake10 thats what I will use.
Thanks
