Linux version of the vamplire masquerade

I saw this in the shop and it looked quite good, does anyone know if there is a way to get it to work on Linux?

"According to Half-Life Fallout, Transgaming Technologies has announced that they will be releasing version 4.2 of Cedega, their Wine based software allowing some DirectX games to be played under Linux. The new version will be released Dec 7th with official support included for Valve Software's Half-Life 2 and Steam, Valve's online software store and distribution system, and a required component of Half-Life 2."
Why is that important? Because the new Vampires game runs on the HL2 engine, so there's a good chance that if HL2 will run on LInux, Vampires will too. The game does look really good, I'm going to have a hard time choosing between it and HL2

Choose HL2 :) It's very, very good.

While the new Cedega coming out will support HL2, there can be a lot of things that could cause games based on its engine to fail, including installer peculiarities, CD copy protection issues, and changes to the code to effectuate the game's differences,...

That said, Transgaming is making a lot of progress in making the Linux desktop a more game-friendly place.
