kxmame cannot find roms

I am running mandriva 2008.

I have KXMAME 2.0 Beta and cannot get it to find the roms.

XMAME finds the roms just fine.

AFAIK I have the path for the roms correct in kxmame.

KXMAME will run the Robbyroto default game fine.

any ideas anyone ???

My config files for Xmame were ina bit of a mess, and I figured it out myself.
don't actually think kxmame is reading the correct files, so I had to edit by hand and remove a few rougue XMAMERC files from higher directories.

The command xmame -showconfig was very helpful in showing me what config was actually being used by the emulator, and i worked backwards from there.

IIRC, the actual config options that kxmame expects don't quite match up to the last version of xmame. Under Settings -> Configure kxmame -> Kxmame there's an option that reads "Use xmame default options" which makes the game name the only parameter that gets passed to xmame.
