Kohan Immortal Sovereigns

I am a big fan of the RTS war games, somebody is offering me Kohan Immortal Sovereigns from Loki games. My main concern is that I am aware Loki went out of business quite a while ago, do their games still work on current Linux systems?

I currently run Gentoo as my main OS and also have Fedora and Debian on other partitions (all are 64 bit versions). Does anybody have any experience with this game?

I don't know if anyone will be able to answer that question unless they have the package you speak of themselves. Is there any chance this person will let you test the package on your system first?

No, unfortunately the person does not live near me (they are flogging the game online). I was just hoping that another user out there may still have a copy and let us know if it works on a modern distro

The instructions from the year old post here
ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1206578
worked a treat for me, albeit with a few minor adjustments. Running Linux Mint 9 64-bit on a Nascar laptop NCL3006 (rebranded AOpen 2000) [haha!] with ATI Radeon 200M IGP, Broadcom 4318 wireless & various other oddities. Kohan runs fine. Should be OK with your Debian. Watch out for transparency issues with the in game movies & Compiz. Credits to the original poster of this solution. Peace
