Yeah I know. Ok.. Follow these instruction closely JaseP....
1) uninstall wine but keep WineX
2) Download the latest CVS
$ cvs -d
server:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex login
Hit Enter when prompted for a password
$ cvs -z3 -d
server:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex co wine
3)Go to the CVS wine directory $ cd wine
4)run this command $tools/wineinstall as root
When it asks you where to put the C drive, type $ ~/.wine/fake_windows
5)type the same command again as your regualr user
When it asks you where to put the C drive, type $ ~/.wine/fake_windows
6) run wine as your user
8) If you see an error message like this
could not stat /home/user/.wine/%HOME%/.transgaming/c_drive (No such file or directory), ignoring drive C:
Could not stat /home/user/.wine/%HOME% (No such file or directory), ignoring drive D:
Invalid path 'c:\windows' for windows directory: does not exist
Perhaps you have not properly edited or created your Wine configuration file.
This is (supposed to be) '/home/user/.wine/config'
replace the line in the config file under .wine that says "Path" = "%HOME%/.transgaming/c_drive/"
with "Path" = fake_windows
And all the other variables of Path that have %Home%, replace them with the actual directory link to where your home is
when you run wine you should get output like this
fixme:cdrom:CDROM_GetIdeInterface CD-ROM device with major ID 11 not supported
Could not stat /home/jason/.wine/%HOME% (No such file or directory), ignoring drive Y:
