Jedi Academy

Now my graphics drivers are all sorted ive installed Jedi Academy using WineX. I know Jedi Academy works with it as my friends have it working and its on the site saying it does.

I load into Jedi Academy fine but when i try to join a Multiplayer server it crashed and opens up the Jedi Academy Console saying

Loading dll file ui.
Failed to load dll, looking for qvm.
Loading vm file vm/ui.qvm.
Failed.
Shutting down OpenGL subsystem
VM_Create on UI failed

Its something to do with graphics as far as im aware as it use to happen on my old PC that didnt have Open GL. Except it didnt open Jedi Academy at all on my old PC it just gave the error straight away.

Hi!

What graphics card do you have? Are the drivers properly installed with full 3D acceleration working? Did you try to get the game latest patches? Did you try to install any other games to make WineX works? What version of WineX/Cedega do you have?

Graphics card - Radeon 9600XT RV350
Drivers - As far as i know they work fine i can run the Linux games without 3d warning and no errors.
Installed latest patches.
Not tried installing any other games as the VM_Create error i sometimes get on Windows so i had a feeling it was something else.

Current Wine version - 20050211-4
Did have - 20050830-1 but i had some errors with it, so i downgraded.

Jedi Academy is better supported by Transgaming's Cedega vs. the opensource winex...

ATIs are still a problem with both native and "emulated" gaming in Linux... you would have been better off going with a nVidia card.
