Wow, what a week it's been, I d/l ioUrbanTerror, and the damn game is like crack. It's a steep learning curve in a way, I mean wall jumps, power slides, stomps and such, but I can't stay away!!!

I encourage everyone to give this game a go. I tried others like Assault Cube, Open Arena, Nexuiz and a few others, but nothing seems to compare.

Tough learning curve, but Like sauerbratten and other cube based game, well done!

Maybe we could have a LQ clan.

I don't know about that, I rarely play on-line, but that's just me.

see what happens, I usually use the name It's_Me.

Perhaps If we share the server names we use, we can compete.

I like the |ALPHA| clan servers, NYC free for all and Urban Terror for Atheists. Sometimes I just pick randoms to join and play. My UT handle is XeroG

I think the weapons all suck. Not a single decent weapon in this game. Other than that, it's reasonable.

I'm not sure about how much they suck, but everyone's entitled to their opinion. I don't seem to have a problem using them.

Besides, at least they're realistic, unlike OpenArena or WarSow, plasma and lightning guns.?.?

Though WarSow is a pretty good game too, similar physics, I think.

UrbanTerror is a serious free alternative to CounterStrike. I quite like it myself. The maps are good and addictive.

I know that one big machine gun..isnt right...it has no accuracy from a distance ,which it shouldnt..but up close..it should shred people to swiss cheese..when i shot someone with that big ass gun from close range all It hardly does any damages..but i still like it.just wish the guns were more balanced.

I agree with stratotak, it's like you're shooting paintball guns ... that bludgeon you to death after several minutes of "bleeding" (probably internal).

Hi,

I'm playing Urban Terror for a while. In my opinion, the game is not so good.

- Weapons are not balanced: some of them are useless (shotgun, nade launcher, heavy machine gun), some other are too strong (DE, Sr8)
- They are a lot of cheaters, mainly using sr8 'cause it's instagib of zm-300 for it's high fire rate
- People is really not friendly and immature

My suggestion: avoid it or play only with known friends.

Indeed, but do you know of any online game where this is not true ? I don't, not anymore. Online gaming is dead, and gamers killed it. They're all a bunch of immature teen pizzafaces with ADD and a bad temper. I think I'll stick to playing against bots, it's more fun.

the game i still play ..Is day of defeat..not day of defeat source..it may be a old game and look it..but it still has good gameplay..and guns are well balanced..you know depending on the map and surroundings what gun you should use ..although i do get annoyed with shooting some one with the carbine and getting the 90 damage crap..Even If your up close and shoot them In the face..lol..

this game is amazing.... i <3 icyjumps im stuck on slate air anyone know how to do it?
