Installing gnome-games

I plan to install Mandriva One 2007 on a spare partition I have (the GNOME version), but I noticed that it doesn't come with any games that GNOME usually sports. Since Mandriva is the only GNOME distro I can find that actually supports proprietary media formats, I'd really rather not change. I've downloaded the latest stable .tar of gnome-games, but how do I go about installing it? I'm still pretty new to that category.

You can install gnome-gnames by setting up extra cooker urpmi sources (easyurpmi) and then doing "urpmi gnome-games.

Is there any hope if the computer it's going to be on doesn't have an Internet connection?

You could download the rpm manually from a Mandriva mirror and install it using the rpm command.
