No thats no problem. XFree files could be named differenlty, such as "XF86Conf" "XF86Config" "XF86Config-4" XF86Conf-4" people that have Xorg, would have "xorg.confg". If u don't see either Load "GLcore" (glcore, Glcore, doesn't mater, as long as it spells out glcore) or Load "dri" then your fine, if you do see those 2, just erase the whole line. And make sure u put in Load "glx" if it is not already included. Don't forget to change the driver, under Device in the file to "nvidia".

Here is my XF86Config file for my laptop, its running mandrake 10. DON'T WORRY IF YOURS DOESN'T LOOK LIKE MINE! EVERYONE HAS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT CONFIG FILE, THEY JUST HAVE THE SAME SECTIONS, OR AT LEAST THE MAJORITY.

ALSO! Take in note that my notebook doesn't have an nvidia card. But believe me, all you have to do is read my little comments on 2 parts of this page to change it, and it won't say the card that I have in vendor name and other certain parts. Your distro already knows what Card you have in your rig, its just that it's using nvidia's FREE 2d acceleration driver not the 3d. Long story why they don't just give out there dirvers for free, EVEN tho there free. Forget about what I just said, just go on, I don't want to confuse u anymore then I have.

File starts after this line...
