How to install Chromium in Slackware?
Here's the directions from the website:
i n s t a l l: Download data files AND source code. - I did Untar the data and program files - I did Set CHROMIUM_DATA environment variable to point to data directory ( i.e. Chromium-0.9/data ) - What the heck does this mean??? Build the source ('./configure; make' should do everything required) - I did: error! so where so I set the CHROMIUM_DATA environment variable? is this a programers term? I've only programed in basic and that was a long time ago. . . any help would be greatly appreciated! |
I believe it means that it wants you to type something like
'export CHROMIUM_DATA=<location of data files(I think)>' Prolly not the exact syntax, I don't use that command often myself. |
thanx, I'll try it tommorrow on my Slackware box. . .
(why didn't they just put that on their website???) |
