Smile How do you install a game in linux


Hi I am very new to linux! try day 2! how do you install games in linux? I have a game with a .tgz file extension and I not only don't know how to open it but how do you install and run this game?? I am a convert from windows xp and I want to learn everything I can about linux! Please help!!

Tgz is the file format used for Slackware packages. What distrubution are you using? If it's not Slack we can still install a tgz file, but the answer will be shaped by your response.
