maybe... wine:
http://winehq.org is a project meant for running windows programs on linux, but be warned: its nowhere near perfect. theres also wineX: http://transgaming.com which is wine specially tweaked for games. if you dont wanna pay 5$ a month: http://transgaming.org you can get it from cvs. |
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa sooo confusing >_< i just started using ;inux today so i still don't know a lot of the things i need to know to run anything...:( is there a full manual of where and how to download the things i need to fully install and then run a windows game? i'm trying to get Diablo 2 then it's Expansion, and afterwards Gunbound to work.

I think it is best you learn more about linux before attempting to run games on it. :)

Hi, I was in the same predicament as you when I first started using Linux (not those games exactly, but other games)
I think it would be best if first you took the time to learn about your linux box and how to move around it, use it, etc. before you attempt to install any games. The process *can* be rather confusing if you don't know what you're doing, and some times manuals are not enough for the complete newbie. Once you learn how to use your linux box then it will be so much easier to install your games. I currently have all of the games I wanted working under linux right now (half-life, counterstrike, morrowind, warcraft 3) running under WineX (www.transgaming.org), however, I had to write little scripts to get them all to work correctly without my interaction. Good luck ! |
