How do I configure Supertux to use my joypad?

I am trying to get Supertux to use my joypad, but I haven't found any documentation on it, and the config file isn't very self-explainatory.

Can anyone help decipher the config file? I have a joypad with a total of 12 buttons, a directional pad and two analog "sticks." Pretty much a generic Playstation controller.

The pad responds, but the buttons are in a useless configuration, and I can't change the way it's configured. Please help.

Thanks.

You may not be able to reconfigure the button assignment.

Do you have jscalibrator installed on your system???
