How can you save your game on OpenArena?

I am not a gamer, but I recently discovered OpenArena, which for a non-gamer like me is a lot of fun to play (esp on the "I Can Win" setting)

My question is simple, but I can't seem to find an answer: How can I save my game, so that I can quit the game, but then come back later and pick up where I left off? I don't seen any options in the controls, and likewise Google has not been my friend. What am I missing here? I'm sure I must be overlooking something simple

Probably better off asking in the OpenArena forums...
