hmmm...

If I could, then I would change from
"No! Still trying, I will tell you when I've succeeded!"
to:
Yes! But with slight Texture problems!

My environment:
  • Fedora Core 3 kernel: 2.6.10-...770
  • ATI ASUS EAX800XT fglrx 8.10.19 (livna rpm)
  • wine CVS 20050308 (check that you really get all GL-things configured when you run "./configure --with-opengl")
I am still having problem with these messages in configure.log (although they doesn't seem to do any harm!?):
    configure: failed program was:
    | #ifndef __cplusplus
    | choke me
    | #endif

    and:
    configure: failed program was:
    | /* confdefs.h. */
Does anyone know how to get rid of the texture problem with the sky?
I've done this so far:
  • changed resolution in X to same as when I run in-game (made it a lot better!)
  • installed version 8.8.25 of fglrx (got rid of most of the problems, only ugly sky now :))
  • changed in xorg.conf under:
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Videocard0"
    .
    .
    .
    # === Misc Options ===
    Option "UseFastTLS" "2"

Works, but runs really subpar even in 800x600 [nvidia driver installed of course]
1ghz Duron
512mb ram
nVidia GeForce4 MX440

Sound stutters a lot.

Edit: Wow, changed game res from 800x600 to 1280x1024 [what X is at] and the performance got better. LOL!

Running in window mode in any res seems to fix above issue.

Minor problems:
-Target circle under targets is missing
-Sound is generally choppy, esp when you're in a cpu intensive place
-Sound gets mroe choppy when you use more of it [if you are a druid, try casting starfire, wayyy choppy].

If there are workarounds for any of the above, let me know- I'd love to fix the minor yet annoyin bugs so I can play happier :)

I have it running currently on my system:

Ubuntu 5.04
AMD Athlon 2500+ (oc'd to 3200+)
1GB Geil DDR400 RAM
256MB Geforce 6600 Turbo

And the only problem is that the sound is very choppy, whether it's in a windo or not, but it is MUCH worse fullscreen.
