Has anyone here played Dunnet?

Dunnet is the game titled 'adventure' in the Emacs text editor. I found it one day, and played around with it. It was lots of fun, even though I'm totally stuck. T_T

Has anyone else played it? I'm just curious since no one's put up a similar post (according to the "click here to find similar threads" button).

I have played it some time ago.i went to http://www.driver-aces.com/dunnet.html The Game is based in LISP. I am still looking for the source it says is on my machine. Emacs files I am guessing. read the source it said. .I am passing this onto you.

The only other clue it gave was : logging into the VAX in Dunnet. It mentioned something about across the hall in the bins. it said often people used their last names as their user names and their first names as passwords. Wow security . Closed system most likely i guess. any way hope that was of some help.
Cool Game

I'm going to necro this in the hope that one or two other people have played this, but judging from the scant responses here I don't think they have. I find this is fascinating game, but have to use a walkthrough in places. Because:

One thing that confused me is the following -

SPOILERS

When you log into the terminal, you have to ftp some files:

Quote:
Do you remember the greeting of 'pokey'?
There's a host called gamma. Send your things there via ftp. How? First, type
FTP GAMMA.
How the hell is one supposed to know to ftp some files to gamma? What is the relationship between the words 'pokey' and 'gamma'?
