Half-life
 

When i try to run half life with this command "wine -- hl.exe -console -game esf" I get the following error

"err:virtual:map_image Standard load address for a Win32 program (0x00400000) not available - security-patched kernel ?
wine: could not load L"C:\\SIERRA\\Half-Life\\hl.exe" as Win32 binary"

did you try only "wine hl.exe"?

yes i have tryed that. I also get that on almost all of the exe files that I run.

winex is developed primarily to run windows games in linux. you should have better luck with it.

Try this "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/exec-shield" before "wine hl.exe"
It's something about some fedora buffer overflow thing...
