Gta iv
 

I know that there wasnt very good support for it early on but I haven't really watched to see if anything new has happened as far as getting it working....

I run Fedora 14 gnome

so, what is the problem ?

and just a guess because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT "Gta iv" is
is is "Grand Theft Auto 4 " ??????

GTA IV is still rated as "Garbage" on the Wine Application Database.

Yes its Grand Theft Auto IV just wont run

run a Microsoft only game on a Microsoft OS like " Win7 "

Why don't yyou do something useful besides not being helpful

GTAIV works on Wine without patching since 1.3.7 and with a patch since 1.1.35.
At least I checked it on nvidia cards, such as 8800GT, ION2 and GTX480 and some others, and it works.
Basically, what I had to do to play it:
1. Install
2. Update to patch 1.0.7.0 (or 1.0.3.0, which also works)
3. Install wmp10 or wmp9 (to get WMVCore.dll or how it was called, which latest-patched game wants)
4. Install vcrun2005sp1
5. Rename/Remove gta4Browser.exe (because it crashes and makes the game crash on startup)
6. Install latest XLiveLess
7. Install latest Razor crack (AFAIK, the game won't run in Wine with non-cracked SecuROM)
8. Play :)

OK when I try to install it it goes well until it ask for disc 2 It says can not find it... where or what is the directory commands to where Wine typically sees the DVD drive?
