Graphic acceleration with SiS graphic card

Hi!

I have a "juicy" SiS graphic card on a 5yo laptop. I've never been able to play a 3d game on that and, since a few years ago, neither 2d games with graphic acceleration.
Fortunately, some games have the option for being compiled without acceleration/3d effects, e.g. SuperTux, others don't. What can I do for the latter?
In other words, what can I do to play modern 2d games in a reasonably way on my laptop?

Changing laptop is not an option ATM.

TIA

Tavs

Some -very few- laptops have genuinely removable graphics cards; for others its just a figure of speech. If your graphics card can be replaced that would be an option, otherwise it wouldn't be.

Some older SiS cards were popularly known as 'graphics deccelerators. If you have one of those, and you can't upgrade it, I'm afraid that your only options may be to ignore games with demanding graphics requirements or watch a slideshow of the game.
